Laszlo Kovacs has died
I just read in the L.A. times the obituary for Laszlo Kovacs. This is very sad. I worked with Laszlo a few times but never had the chance to do a full movie. Laszlo first came to prominence shooting "Easy Rider" which was just another biker movie, or so he thought, for Laszlo early in his career. He had shot more than 70 feature films, including "New York, New York," "The Last Waltz," "Frances," "Ghostbusters," "Multiplicity," "My Best Friend's Wedding" and "Miss Congeniality."
Note: the L.A. Times screwed up and put a picture of Sven Nyquist (another great cinematographer who died in September 2006. The Times used the same picture in Sven's obituary).
Regards, Jeff Wexler

new products from Sonosax
These new products shown at the 122 AES Show in Austria look really good. The most exciting ones are not shipping yet, in fact they are just dummy boxes at this point, but the build quality, functions and ergonomics, seem to be superb. I look forward to these things coming to market... when?

my son David
.jpg)
I am learning so much from my son David. He has an amazing capacity to learn and develop creative skills all his own to do the things that he is doing with his art. I am extremely proud of all that he accomplishes, every day, and I am sure he will continue to do amazing things all his life.
Some of his great artistic creations can be seen at:

setting up a Blogger blog
I just helped Vanessa set up a blog using the now Google owned Blogger system. This works very well because it is so easy to update things and to post daily --- much easier than updating a full website that has a blog page or a blog component. There is an advantage as well, I believe, in having Google as the engine and the support, rather than putting up a blog on your own server where you may have a website. As long as you can customize the blog enough to make it personal, and this seems to be getting better all the time with Blogger, it looks like a good way to go.
